Food Basket Distribution for Vulnerable Households at Abu Zar IDP Camp

With support from Norwegian People's Aid (NPA), PIDRO successfully conducted a food basket distribution activity at Abu Zar IDP Camp on 24 May 2026, targeting vulnerable households facing food insecurity and humanitarian needs.
A total of 100 food baskets were distributed to selected beneficiaries through a transparent and community-based targeting process. The distribution was implemented in close coordination with local authorities, community leaders, and camp representatives to ensure accountability, fairness, and equitable access to assistance.
The activity was carried out in an organized and dignified manner, with measures in place to support crowd management, beneficiary verification, and safeguarding throughout the distribution process. PIDRO staff closely monitored the exercise to ensure that assistance reached the intended recipients and that humanitarian principles were upheld at all stages.
Through the generous support of Norwegian People's Aid (NPA), this intervention contributed to addressing the immediate food needs of vulnerable households and strengthening the resilience of displaced communities residing in Abu Zar IDP Camp.
